Our Standard
What we actually check for.
Every practitioner, facilitator, and healer in our network is evaluated on two fronts: clinical competence and halachic integrity. Neither is optional.
Clinical guidance
Clinical
Faith Niece, M.A., LMHC, LMFT, CSAT, CMAT, provides our clinical framework and guidance, including the clinical standards our screening follows. We screen every participant before placement.
Halachic vetting standard
Halachic
Rabbi Yosef Sonnenschein provides rabbinic and halachic guidance. Every practitioner is evaluated against three specific principles of Jewish law.
Hashem Echad
G-d is One
Judaism maintains absolute monotheism. All facilitation language must be monotheistically neutral. No invocation of directional forces, spirits, or independent spiritual beings of any kind — even casually or symbolically.
In practice: No Four Directions, no Grandfather Spirit, no Mother Earth as an independent power. All language must reflect the singular Creator.
K'garzen Beyad Hachotzeiv
Objects are instruments, not sources of independent power
Everything, including elements used in healing, is an instrument of the one Creator. Stones, fire, steam, water, and breath have no independent spiritual agency. They are tools, not beings.
In practice: No stones that "hold spirits," fire that "teaches," or ancestors that "guide directly." Objects are instruments — not sources of independent power.
Lo Tizkor
No invoking foreign deity names
Jewish law prohibits naming or invoking foreign gods, sacred beings, or personified spiritual forces — even casually or symbolically. This includes named spirits, tribal deities, and invocation songs from other traditions.
In practice: Any ceremony element, song, prayer, or invocation with a named deity or sacred being from another tradition must be removed or adapted.
